Jellypark Stamp Spotlight Friday

Hello crafty peeps
It's Stamp Spotlight Friday over at the Jellypark Challenge Blog
and my fellow DT member Suzie has chosen this little cutie for us to use.
She is available here as an instant download from the Jellypark Store .

When I looked at the image, red and white polka dots came to mind, I also love grey pussy cats so I thought those colours would work well together.
I coloured her with my promarkers and cut around her before attaching to some pretty strawberry backing paper. I made the sentiment myself and coloured around the edge with a jelly roll pen. I also created the little dots on the frame with the same pen. The flowers are die cut and I finished them off with little pearls in the centre.

Challenges entered :- Rubys Rainbow - ch53 - furry friends
Nutcrafters - challenge-41 - bingo Bottom row - die cuts, pearls, ribbon

That's all from me folks.
Have a great weekend.
Happy Crafting

Jellypark new releases and a new challenge

Hello, hello, hello, happy Friday :o)

My post today is all about the new release images from Jellypark which are available as an instant download from today.

Here they are:-

Isn't she just adorabubble! I am going to use her on a card for my Etsy Store this week so I shall blog that later in the week.
I love this image, possibly because I'd love to have a beautiful garden. I'm a rubbish gardener I wish I wasn't, I can mow the lawn but that's about it lol.

No gardening involved in the making of this card fortunately.
I coloured her up with my promarkers (still bottling out with the pencils) die cut some flowers and gave them button centres. Love my new butterfly dies they are so pretty, I added some tiny gems to the bodies.

The current theme over at the Challenge Blog is Girly Girl so we would love to see all things pink, lacy and well girly lol.

Happy Crafting.

Challenge time over at Jellypark Friends and the theme is laughter

That's right the theme for this Jellypark Friends challenge is "Make us laugh and smile"

I had so much fun creating my DT card and with the lengthy Winter we seem to be having, this theme is just perfect to cheer everyone up :o).

I used my new pencils to colour both images, I have to be honest I haven't quite mastered colouring with them yet, I keep reverting back to my promarkers but as they say practise makes perfect so I shall keep trying. The background was created digitally and printed.
Feel quite sorry for dino boy with his little embarrassed face. Doesn't the woman look so classy though?

There's a funny new release image over at the Jellypark Store check her out.

She looks like she's lots of fun to be around.

Jellypark new releases and latest challenge - About a book

Hello, hello, hello and a huge Happy Friday one and all.
It's challenge time again over at the jellypark friends challenge blog and the theme this time round is "about a book" so we would love to see projects with books on them, book titles in them or someone enjoying a good read.
Both new release images are very much in keeping with this wonderful theme, I love reading as does my hubby and fortunately our love of books has rubbed off on both children.
When I saw the new releases I couldn't decide which one to use so I made a card from each.
First up is this very cute little fella who looks completely engrossed in what he is reading.
available to buy from here
I used one of my background papers that I created for another project and then coloured the little fella with promarkers, I made a library card and holder on the computer and printed them out. I loved those little brown envelopes when I was a child. I used to make them all the time when I was little so my sister and I could pretend to be librarians lol, the modern plastic cards just don't have the same impact :o)

Craft-room Challenge - in the library
Next up is this beauty.

available to buy from here

Doesn't she look so relaxed, I wonder what she is reading?
I created a card base from some lovely patterned linen card I had in my stash (which I found when I was doing up the craft room, bonus lol). The image has been coloured with promarkers, I went for a nice bright yellow, not just because it's my favourite colour but the sun was actually out when I sat down to colour in. I found the quote online and thought it was quite appropriate. I used some little wooden flowers to embellish.

That's it from me for now I really hope to see some of your gorgeous book related projects over on the challenge blog.

Happy Crafting.

Jellypark Challenge with pastel theme

Oh my goodness has it really been that long since my last blog post.
I packed my entire craft room into boxes a couple of months ago, I wanted to revamp the room entirely as it wasn't very inspiring as a creative space. My original time scale was one week, two at the most, then I got the flu, another couple of life events cropped up and basically 2 months later I finally managed to unpack those boxes.
I love it in there now and amazingly even though I finished it 2 weeks ago it's still tidy lol. It won't last, it's still a novelty.
A couple of pics of the finished space.

The pic below is where the little one crafts she used to have to sit on the floor lol

Another positive about finishing the room is that I can finally get back to my Jellypark DT work :o)
Oh how I've missed colouring Claire's beautiful images.
Which leads me nicely on to.....
It's challenge time over on the Jellypark Friends Challenge Blog and the theme is pastels, pretty pinks, hazy blues, sage greens and perfect purples we would like to see cards or projects created in that colour scheme.
I decided to use one of the new release images from a fortnight ago available here, this gorgeous bird cage image.

I coloured it in and then took my trusty craft knife to it. I made the little flowers and the sentiment. The bird cage moves with the card as I attached it to the sentiment with a wire hanger.

I can't wait to see what pastel delights people come up with.

There are two brand new releases also available in the store today, how cute are they?
219 king for the day digital stamp
220 Ewe are so sweet digital stamp

Promise not to leave it so long next time.

Happy Crafting Folks :o)
