Oh my goodness I made a Christmas Card and it's only September

Hello there, it's been a while since I blogged but I just had to share the Christmas card I've made this week.
I'm never this organised, honestly, I'm usually in the craft room the week before Christmas with glitter, die cuts and a huge mess around me. I promised myself last year that I'd start earlier.
When I saw the cute new dress up images from Jellypark I wanted to start colouring them up straight away. It was so much fun. Here is the first one.

 I'm almost finished another one which I'll blog about as soon as I get photo's. There are 5 images altogether and they are all equally as cute as each other.

Post Pals UK Card 2

Hello, happy Friday :o)

I'm back to show my next Post Pals card, this one is going to an older child hence the theme of the card.
This image isn't one of the ones Claire is giving away over on facebook, but it is so appropriate for the Post Pal that I just had to colour it up and use it anyway.

I also added a couple of mementos into the envelope from his favourite football team.
I hope he likes it.
I'm so happy that Claire introduced me to this wonderful organisation, I am thoroughly enjoying making the cards and gifts for the kids and hopefully getting some happy mail will brighten their day.

Post Pals UK

Hello,
Just a quick blog post to tell you all about Post Pals UK.  On facebook there is a new group set up by Claire Keay of Jellypark. Claire had the wonderful idea to team up with Post Pals by generously giving away a set of 6 images to everyone who participates in sending cards and gifts to the children on the Post Pals site.

Simply ask to join the Group and once approved, let Claire know you would like the first image. Once you show a picture of your first make and tell us which child you are sending it to, you will receive the 2nd image and so on.

My first card went to a right little cutie called Tie D and here it is. Inside the card there are even more cheesy monkey jokes :o)

As you can see I also made a little door hanger for him. Hope he liked them and that they brought a smile to his face.

I said it would be a quick post as I'm in the middle of making a card for another Post Pal child. I'll post up pictures once it's done.

Challenge time over at Jellypark Friends and a couple of sweet new releases

Hola, happy Friday, it's half term yipeeeeeeee, I love it when my kids are off, I don't get much done and the craft room door tends to be shut quite tight but we have fun.

Over at the brand spanking new Jellypark Store we have a couple of lovely new releases. We also have a new challenge over at the Challenge Blog and the theme is Chocolate and/or cake.

I made this cute Mother's Day card with one of the new release images.
I've had those sweety embellishments for ages so it was lovely to be able to use them on my card. I coloured the image up with my promarkers. The roses are made using a dienamics die. I created the sentiment to match the dp.

I hope you will pop on over to see what Design Team B have created for this challenge, you won't be disappointed.

Have a great weekend folks.

My second Jellypark post of the day I'm on a roll :o)

Hello again, I've been a busy bee in the craft room lately.
When I saw this fabulous new release image from the Jellypark Store I couldn't wait to make a card with her.

The theme over at the challenge blog is buttons and bows, I've splashed out on this card and it has both lol. The beautiful image has been coloured with my trusty promarkers and I hand stitched some lines onto the background before sticking her on. The lace has also been hand stitched in place along with the button. I added a sweet little tag and some felt flowers. I really enjoyed making this card. The Jellypark Design Team have also been busy so pop on over to the blog for some inspiration.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

New release time at Jellypark Friends and a new Challenge announcement

Happy Friday, I hope you are all well on this cold January morning.

It's been one of those weeks for me that I can't wait to see the back of so I spent some relaxing time in the craft room yesterday.

There is a new challenge over at the Jellypark Friends Challenge Blog and the theme is Buttons and Bows so we would love to see projects that have either buttons or bows on them or if you're feeling extravagant both lol.

There are also two brand new release images which are available from the Jellypark Store today and here is the first one.

Isn't is sew sweet, pardon the pun lol. I coloured it with promarkers and embroidered around it. I then cut around the edge with pinking shears and die cut some coordinating buttons and silver scissors.

It certainly meets the button side of the challenge theme, not a bow in sight for this one but I managed to incorporate both elements in my other card in the post above :o).

Pop on over to the challenge blog where there is a wealth of beautiful makes from the wonderful Jellypark Design Team.

New year starts with a new project and new Jellypark Challenge

Happy New Year everyone and I really hope all of your crafty dreams come true this year.

I haven't been creating as much lately, sometimes other commitments just don't allow but I miss it so much and have decided to make more time.

I wanted to do a tutorial for Jellypark and realised that I needed a new version of my Blog Challenge Calendar for 2014. I've been using one of these for quite a while. I like to have the information right in front of me in paper form as I don't always have access to the internet from my craft room. It has been a really handy way for me to keep track of everything.

I have had a wonderful couple of days creating the tutorial for the jellypark store it's free to download so pop on over there for a look :o)

I used a fantastic 2014 calendar download also one of the new releases Resolution List digi from Jellypark for this project. I also used some of my own digital creations which I have decided to sell in my Etsy shop as an instant download. The notelets I created for my Papercraft Essentials magazine project have proved to be very popular and I hope you like these ones just as much :o).

Here is my make and as I said the tutorial is available for free over at the Jellypark Store.

My Blog Challenge Desk Calendar also fits the theme for our current challenge over on the Jellypark Friends blog which is "New beginnings", it features a calendar, a resolution list (which I won't stick to) and also it's appropriate because I am starting the new year by being bold and finally selling my digital artwork myself.

It was also created in line with our current theme over on the Challenge Blog which is Thanksgiving or Give Thanks.

Here he is.

New challenge over at Jellypark friends and the theme is ABC

Hello and Happy Halloween

My little girl and I carved the pumpkin, it's by far the best one we've ever done :o)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you are all well. Today I am able to blog about the calendar that I created for Papercraft Essentials Magazine it is also for the ABC - Anything but a card Challenge over on the Jellypark Friends Challenge Blog
I've had such lovely feedback about it and am so delighted that so many people are recreating it. All of the digis I used are available from the store here.
Here are a couple of pictures.
I chose not to use any digi's on the front because I wanted the inside to be an extra special surprise :o)
Each page is themed to it's relevant month, ie mum and daughter in March (UK Mothers Day) though it could easily be swapped for May. Spring has the super cute sheep. School's out for summer in July, flip flop in August etc.
It was an absolute delight to make and now I've filled in all of my friends and families birthdays and all of the other special occasions, it's something that will be used for years and years to come.
I have a new project coming soon so watch this space ;o)
Over at the Challenge Blog there are also 2 new release images which are perfect for the current challenge theme being super cute tags.
That's all from me for now.
Happy Crafting Folks.
Papercraft Essentials Magazine issue 99
Evening folks, just a quickie post about the fact that my Papercraft Essentials Magazine popped through the letter box the other day. Why is that so interesting I hear you ask....I'm in it, that's why.    I have a wonderful 2 page spread with a fantastico project for you. I used lots and lots of Jellypark images. The main feature of the project is the amazing Calendar digis which are also available from Jellypark.
Here's a pic of the front cover. I'd show you the inside but don't want to spoil the surprise for those of you who haven't got it yet lol. Page 34 by the way he he.
I enjoyed making the calendar so very much and to see it photographed professionally was just wonderful. To top it all the lovely people at the magazine sent it back to me so I get to utilise it.
New releases in the jellypark store
Good morning planet earth, oh and shiver me timbers, I'm a bit late with that one as it was national Pirate Day yesterday apparently, but never mind lol.
I'm here today with a card that I made from one of the new release images which is available
Isn't it just Fabulous with a capital F.
I decided to try cutting around it so that I could keep all the lettering together as I had an idea to make a door hanger for my daughters room. I thought I would try a smaller version first on a card. It worked a treat so that will definitely be one of my weekend projects. The papers and frame are from a digi kit and the flowers are made from a die cut that I have.
The other new release card will be blogged shortly and it will be part of my alphabet theme blog posts :o)
I spent a very happy couple of hours yesterday rearranging my promarker collection, as the new Autumn/Winter set arrived. It was such a wonderfully satisfying job. I just hope they don't bring any new colours out anytime soon though because I'm not sure I could do it again :o).
Happy Crafting.
A is for Anniversary
A little while ago over on the Jellypark Team twitter account, I did an alphabet product list, advertising digi's for each letter of the alphabet. I really enjoyed doing it, so I have decided to make up for my total lack of blogging recently by challenging myself to do alphabet blog posts.
Today's offering is A for Anniversary.
It was our 15 year wedding anniversary yesterday, I had a lovely day with no cooking, we went out for lunch on our own and then took the children out for dinner, both meals were yummy and I felt very spoilt.
I made a card for my hubby using this super cute love bird digital stamp from Jellypark. When I printed the image out I wasn't sure of a colour scheme so I googled love birds and oh my goodness they are the sweetest, prettiest little feathered friends ever.
I used my safmat for the sentiment, I've had it for ages but forgot all about it, it worked perfectly to get some writing on my background paper. I used some washi tape and coloured it with distress inks to match the paper. The birds are coloured with promarkers and then glossed with glossy accents. I then used my distressing inks to colour the background of the digi.
That's it for today I will be back very soon with B is for ??????
p.s. the current challenge over at the Jellypark Friends Challenge Blog is "one for the kids" and it's proving to be really popular, I'm just heading over there to do some more commenting on the entries:o)
New release time over at Jellypark Friends
Oh well slap my wrist it's been a while hasn't it. To be fair I've not had much time to spend in the craft room.
I did however go in there the other day when I saw the latest new release image from Jellypark, it is so super cute that I just had to make something.
Shame I can't enter our own challenge this week as it's "One for the Kids"
I made a tag with some pretty ballerina paper that I've had for years, I really enjoyed colouring her in, she will definitely be making an appearance on my daughters birthday card this year.
Promise not to leave it so long next time.
New Challenge time over at Jellypark Friends
New Challenge time over at Jellypark Friends and the theme is "Giving thanks".
I adore this image, I use it a lot, it's one of the Charity Stamps all the proceeds from the sale of the image go to The Sick Childrens Trust :o)
I created this card for the kids drama teacher.
I kept the card pretty simple with some ornate die cuts and pearl accents. Sometimes I forget to make simple cards, yet every time I do I really like them.
This is a short and sweet post because to be honest, I'm roasting hot even in the evening, I need to move away from the laptop and cool down,  I am really enjoying the current weather here in the UK though.
Have a cracking weekend.
Happy Crafting.
New releases over at Jellypark friends
This is my first of two posts, get me all the sunshine must be agreeing with me :o)
Over at the Jellypark Store there are 3, yes 3 new release images today and as the kids all break up soon woohoo all three images are school related.
Here's what I made with 2 of them.
I printed out the backing paper and cut it into a tag shape. I then coloured both images in with my alcohol markers and cut around them with my craft knife. I attached them to the tags with 3d pads and added some red ribbon.
The tags are going on the kids presents for their teachers, I love that Claire created a boy and girl version, so handy :o)
Check out the Challenge Blog for the other new release it's a cool teacher one.
We also have a new challenge it's all about Giving Thanks, see post above for my card.
New release and Challenge time over at Jellypark Friends
Hello and Happy Friday, my goodness the weeks are flying by aren't they.
I am super excited about this post, I have been working on my new release card for ages but haven't been able to share it until now. As soon as I saw this image I kind of fell in love with it :o)
After lots of playing around this is what I came up with.
He is available => here <= and what a joy he was to colour.
I haven't made a shaker card for yeeeaaaarrrsss so it was nice to do something a bit different. I digitally drew the magnifying glass and created the background paper. I then printed and cut around the magnifying glass, stuck some acetate to the inside and punched some little dragonflies out to place behind for the shaker effect. The image has been coloured with promarkers.
I was so pleased with how it turned out, it isn't always the case that what's in my head translates to card but in this instance it did. Whoop :o)
We have another new release for you over in the Store, Claire does spoil us doesn't she. It's a wonderful rock pool image.
I love rock pooling with my kids, it brings back so many happy childhood memories for me.
 It is available => here <= .
We also have a new challenge over at the Challenge Blog and the theme is Celebrate Summer, you never know it might have a positive effect on the weather.
Hope you all have a splendiferous weekend.
Happy Crafting
New Challenge Time over at jellypark Friends
It's Challenge time over at Jellypark friends Challenge Blog and the theme this time round is a masculine one. It's all about the boys and men in your life.
It's Father's Day on Sunday and I have another card to blog using a new release image from Jellypark, but for this post, I'm sharing a card I made for my son.
I used the Medal Boy image and some digital embellishments which I printed and cut out. I also created some mini pencils which I found over on this blog, so cool but I didn't have cocktail sticks so I used kebab sticks. My daughter is so in love with them that I had too make lots more for her.
Jellypark Stamp Spotlight Friday
Hello crafty peeps
It's Stamp Spotlight Friday over at the Jellypark Challenge Blog
and my fellow DT member Suzie has chosen this little cutie for us to use.
She is available here as an instant download from the Jellypark Store .
When I looked at the image, red and white polka dots came to mind, I also love grey pussy cats so I thought those colours would work well together.
I coloured her with my promarkers and cut around her before attaching to some pretty strawberry backing paper. I made the sentiment myself and coloured around the edge with a jelly roll pen. I also created the little dots on the frame with the same pen. The flowers are die cut and I finished them off with little pearls in the centre.
Challenges entered :- Rubys Rainbow - ch53 - furry friends
Nutcrafters - challenge-41 - bingo Bottom row - die cuts, pearls, ribbon
That's all from me folks.
Have a great weekend.
