From small acorns

Sold my first card of 2011 on ebay today so am a very happy girl, going to be putting more cards, toppers and craft items on each day. Watch this space xx

Welcome to my blog

Hi, I'm Mel and I love to craft, hence the name of my blog :o) I'm a stay at home mum with 2 gorgeous children. They drive me mad, make me laugh and leave me in awe each minute of every day.

I have always loved art and creative pursuits and have been making things from a very young age.

I predominantly make cards and have done for about 20 years now, I also like to sew, knit and crochet. Recently I got a chance to make some lampwork glass beads, I really enjoyed it but will stick with paper and card as opposed to very hot flames and moulten glass :o)

I love bright colours and modern design. Colouring is such a wonderfully therapeutic past time.

Digital art plays a large part in my crafting and I often spend hours digitally paper piecing or creating my own background papers, sentiments and embellishments for my cards.
